![]() After meeting with Dr. Wells, he directed me to two of his partners: Dr. Fey and Mr. Chatzinoff. From there, I was given some MRs of a female patient with hip dysplasia. In order to view the files, I downloaded a Seg3D, a segmentation imaging processing software used to view models in three dimensions. I would need to meet with Mr. Chatzinoff in order to be able to effectively use the model. Therefore, this week mainly consisted of getting familiar with the software. The image shown is me playing around with the tools. I looked into Youtube tutorials and the online instruction manual, so I can have a basic understanding before meeting with Mr. Chatzinoff. Dr. Wells provided me with some resources to further help me in my original work. He e-mailed me several publications he has written, and they provided me with specific details I should measure when analyzing a patient with dysplasia. The publications described how measurements were taken from the CT scans. This provides me with guidelines for my own project. In addition, we are beginning preparations for Research Showcase on January 18th. With an invite list set up, I began designing an invitation. From here, money is now becoming a factor in ISM. I need to start planning ahead when it comes to finance, especially given the color printing and the presentation board. Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try another approach is the secret of winning. - Denis Waitley
